What is IIIT Hyderabad?
The
International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT Hyderabad)
is an Information technology research university based in Hyderabad, Telangana,
India. It was the first autonomous private institute of its kind to be
established in 1997. IIIT Hyderabad is one of the top Computer Science
institutes of the country. It emphasizes research from the undergraduate level.
It has been a consistent performer from India in ACM International Collegiate
Programming Contest (ICPC); it has been sending teams to ICPC World Finals
since last 7 consecutive years and finished at #18 in 2012.
Eligibility for CLD programme:
Stream I: Higher Secondary/Class 12 or equivalent in
Science stream with Physics and Mathematics. A keen interest in prior work in
languages and aptitude for Conceptual Analysis and Mathematics is essential.
Stream
II: Higher Secondary/ Class 12 or equivalent in
Humanities, Art and Social Sciences with Mathematics. A keen interest in prior
work in languages and aptitude for Conceptual Analysis and Mathematics is
essential.
Eligibility for CND programme
(for NTSE or KVPY Scholars only):
Students
who have qualified in National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) - Level 2 or
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) with Higher Secondary/ Class 12 or
equivalent in Science stream students.
Standard
+2 (for e.g., CBSE) level syllabus. The questions will be probing the research
orientation and inquisitiveness of the candidate. There is no fixed pattern of
the exam. It may change from year to year.
Admission through JEE Mains:
Admissions
will be based on Joint Entrance Examination (Main) Score and on Class XII or
equivalent qualifying examination with an aggregate of 75% marks in Physics,
Chemistry and Maths.
