AIPVT








All India Pre Veterinary Test is one of the popular Veterinary exams across the nation. It is an all-India level examination hosted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The organization was started on 21st August 1984 and since then this council has been responsible for organizing the AIPVT Exam every year. This entrance test invites the candidates from all the part across the country to get enroll in five years Bachelor in Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) & Animal Husbandry (A.H) course. The AIPVT examination will be held for the 15% of seats of the total quantity of the seat available in the whole country except Jammu and Kashmir. Generally, the exam is conducted each year in the month of May.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality: Candidates should have the nationality of India (excluding candidates those belong to Jammu & Kashmir).
Age limit: Candidates should complete the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2016. Candidates who are seeking admission under 15%. All India Quota and participating States Seats, the maximum age of those candidates should be 25 years as on 31st December 2016. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category will get relaxation of 5 years in age.

Educational Qualification:

       Candidates who have cleared the intermediate exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in these subjects and English as a core subject from a recognized board or university are eligible to apply.
Candidates should have passed 10+2 Higher/senior secondary exam or Indian School.
Certificate exam or its equivalent exam with PCB (including practical) and any other elective subject with English.
       Candidates belonging to General category are required to score at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam whereas this mark is 40% for SC/ST/OBC category students.

Application Form:

Candidates are eligible to apply for AIPVT only in online mode; other modes of application will not be accepted. Please read the information brochure carefully before you begin the application procedure.

Visit the official website of Veterinary Council of India.
Read the instructions mentioned in the information brochure.Now complete online registration and note down your registration number.
Now move further to apply for AIPVT 2016 through this registration number.Next step is uploading your photograph, you and your parents/Guardians signature, thumb impression and self-declaration (if you belong to Jammu & Kashmir). All these documents should be in JPG format.Remit the requisite *application fee by using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card or e-challan. Finally, take four printouts of the confirmation page.


Application Fee:

Application fee for General or OBC category candidates: Rs 1500/- (without late fees) & Rs 1500/- + Rs 750/- as late fee (with late fee)
The application fee for SC/ST/PH category candidates: Rs 750/- (without late fee) & Rs 750/- + Rs 750/- as late fee (with late fee).
After completion of AIPVT application procedure please keep following documents ready.
Take four printouts of the confirmation page.Fee payment proof.4 postcard and 16 passport size photograph (it must be same as you have uploaded in the online form)
       Copy of self-declaration for candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir and claiming under 15% all India seats.

Admit Card:

Candidates are eligible to download AIPVT admit card along with proforma of pasting postcard size photograph from 14th April 2016 onwards. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of Veterinary Council of India. Aspirants are instructed to read and verify details mentioned on the admit card and in the case of any discrepancy, they immediately need to inform the concerned authority.
Exam Pattern:

Go through the crucial information related to AIPVT exam pattern mentioned below. This will help you to understand the pattern of paper you are going to face in the upcoming exam.
There will be only one paper in the exam consisting 180 objective type questions having four options with one right answer. Questions will be included from Chemistry, Physics and Biology (Botany &Zoology).
    Talking about the distribution of questions: Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions) and Biology (90 questions).
    4 marks will be given to candidates for their every correct response whereas; one mark will be deducted for the negative response.
         Exam duration will be for 3 hours (2.00 to 5.00 P.M).
          Language of the question paper will be English as well as Hindi.
All candidates should be aware of the pattern of the exam they are appearing for. It helps candidates to understand the types of question, marking scheme, exam duration, language mode, negative marking scheme etc.

Exam Details:

       Exam Date & time: 14.05.2016 (Saturday): 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M.
       Entry of candidates in the exam hall: 1.00 P.M.
       Admit card will be verified by invigilator: 1.15 TO 1.45 P.M
       The invigilator will distribute the test booklet: 1.50 P.M
       Candidates can open or break the seal of the booklet: 1:55 P.M
       Last entry in the exam hall: 2.00 P.M
       Exam will start from 2.00 P.M
       It will end: 5:00 P.M

Syllabus and exam pattern:

The syllabus for the AIPVT entrance exam for Chemistry, Physics, Zoology and Botany will be based on syllabus followed for 10+1 and 10+2 level for India’s Boards or Universities. No other different syllabus is prescribed.

Answer Key:

Candidates will be able to obtain the answer key of AIPVT from the official website of VCIAs per the official notification, answer key will be available on the website within two or three days of completion of the exam. Candidates are allowed to shoot challenge against the answer key but for the same they will have to pay Rs.1000/- per question. If your challenge is accepted by the council, the amount will be refunded to you.

Result:

The result of AIPVT will be announced in the last week of May 2016. There will be no separate merit list gets declared for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates.
