LPU Notification Released

What is LPU?

LPU (Lovely Professional University) is a semi-residential university college in North India created under the Punjab State Private University Act 2005 and recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956. LPU offers around 200 programmes and courses at diploma, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The university has more than 30,000 students graduating every year.

Eligibility:

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST-2017

Qualifying Examination:

Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2017 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2017, in final examination of 10 + 2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognized by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:

For admission in B.Tech, B.Tech. (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech - M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech - MBA applicant should

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to qualifying LPUNEST-2017

*For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology), B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - M.Tech. Integrated B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (BT - Food Technology) - MBA

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remaining same as above.

*For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE), B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum), Integrated B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) - MBA and Integrated B.Tech. (CHE - Petroleum) - MBA

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remaining same as above.

Exam Pattern:

The test duration is of 150 minutes and consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.

The approximate distribution of questions is as follows:
Physics
30 questions
Chemistry
30 questions
Mathematics/ Biology
30 questions
English
10 questions
Applicants can opt for either English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Language of the entrance test shall be English only. Each question carries four marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions
