GAT (UGTP) Notification Released


What is GAT (UGTP)?

GAT (GITAM Admission Test) Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) (a deemed-to-be university u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) known as GITAM University is an educational institution in India. It was previously known as GITAM College, affiliated to Andhra University. Established in 1980, it was conferred the status of deemed university in 2007. It was the first private engineering institute in Andhra Pradesh to receive university status. GITAM is planning on receiving an ABET International Accreditation. The university has three campuses – its main campus at Visakhapatnam spreads over 100 acres, and the other two campuses are at Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Eligibility criteria:

Pass in Intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2017 or 2016 and also Rank obtained in GAT (UGTP) - 2017, subject to the following criteria:

B.Tech:
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology:
A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

B.Pharmacy:
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.

B.Arch:
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA / JEE (Main).

Exam Pattern:

The test consists of three sections and all questions are objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options out of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
