What is MU OET?
MU OET
(Manipal University Online Entrance Test). Manipal is a university area located
in the city of Udupi in Karnataka, India. It is a suburb within Udupi city and
is administered by the Udupi City Municipality. It is located on the rocky
hinterland of the Malabar Coast of south-west India, about 8 km (5.0 mi) east
the Arabian Sea. From its location on a plateau, it commands a panoramic view
of the Arabian Sea to the west and the Western Ghats to the east. Home to the
Manipal University, the town attracts over twenty five thousand students every
year. It is one of the most cosmopolitan towns of India, with people from over
57 nations studying there. It is famously called the Campus town by the locals
residing. Manipal is also the international headquarters of Syndicate Bank. A
regional Information Technology hub, Manipal has one of the highest densities
of mobile phone users in India.
ELIGIBILITY:
Duration: 4 years
Citizenship: Indian nationals.
Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory
subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical
vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50 % marks taken together in
Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
ADMISSIONS:
General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of
rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2017.
Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of
marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Note: Candidates can apply both under General
and Foreign/NRI categories. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General
after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.
