What is JET?
JET
(Jain Entrance Test). Jain
University is a Deemed university under the UGC Act, 1956 established in
Bangalore, India and promoted by The JGI Group in India and the state of
Karnataka. It is a member of the Association of Universities of Asia and the
Pacific and is certified ISO 9001:2008 for quality management. It is a member
of the Association of Indian Universities. It also has Jain International
Residential School, Bangalore (JIRS), a premier school at the Jain Global
Campus.
Eligibility:
Students
must have passed in PCMB / PCMC / PCME in PUC or ISC / CBSE or equivalent
board.
Only
candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are
eligible to apply for B.Tech Program
In
case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%
Candidates
who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII
or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply.
Applicants
should have completed 12 years of formal schooling in order to apply for the
program. Admission will be offered based on scores secured in JET 2016.
Note: Candidates scoring below 60% in 10+2 or
equivalent exams may not be eligible for completion of Admission through JET.

Entrance Test for B.Tech:
The
written test will consist of 4 sections (total 120 marks).
Section 1: English - 30 marks.
Section 2: Physics - 30 marks.
Section 3: Chemistry - 30 marks.
Section 4: Mathematics - 30 marks.
Exam Pattern for B.Sc.
Agriculture:
The
written test will consist of 4 sections (total 100 marks).
Section 2: Subject based questions - 20 marks.
Section 3: Basic mathematics -20 marks. Please refer to
the 12 standard mathematics syllabus. Topics to be covered will be Average,
Simple/Compound Interest, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio &
Proportion, Time & Distance, Stocks & Shares, etc.
