Uni-GAUGE
EMeD 2016 exam will be for candidates seeking admission to Under-Graduate
Engineering, Medical and Dental courses at Participating Member
Universities/institutions of ERA Foundation for the academic year 2016-17.
These degree courses include BE (Bachelor of Engineering); B-Tech (Bachelor of
Technology); MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery); BDS (Bachelor of
Dental surgery).
What is the Exam about?
With Uni-GAUGE EMeD Entrance you can apply for
Medical, Dental & Engineering Courses like: MBBS, BDS, BE / B.Tech in
Uni-GAUGE member universities.
This
is a Pan-India, Online and Computer-based Entrance Examination.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for Engineering
Program - BE and a B. Tech course is as follows:
A. The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission
for B.E. / B. Tech is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent
examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of
study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory
subject, (Biology or Bio-technology instead of chemistry for BE/B-Tech and Bio
Technology) or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional
subject, with English as a compulsory subject.
B. The General Merit candidates should have passed with a
minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates)
and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are
compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or any
other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects.
C. The candidates who are appearing for the prescribed
qualifying examination and expecting the percentage of marks as at (B) are also
eligible to apply.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
A.
The candidate
shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2016 i.e. the
candidate should be born on or before 31st Dec 1999.
B.
Additional
criteria including, number of attempts, age limit, reservations for regional,
social, economic, linguistic minority, if any, will be made available by
participating universities/institutions on their respective websites.
Candidates are requested to familiarize themselves with the eligibility
criteria by visiting the websites of the participating universities/
institutions.
C.
Candidates are
required to provide a declaration about their eligibility to ERA foundation
while filling up the application form online. However the relevant proofs are
to be submitted directly to Universities/Institutions, as required.
Diploma
students can also apply for “Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2016” entrance exam for admissions
into BE/B-Tech courses in Member participating Universities/Institutions.
Eligibility criteria for UG Medical and
Dental courses are as follows:
A.
The candidates
should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination
recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall
comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory
subject.
B.
The General Merit
candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually and must have
obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC,
ST and OBC candidates of the respective State). The General Merit Candidate
Must also secure not less than 50% marks (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC
candidates of respective state) in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Uni-GAUGE
EMeD 2016 .
C.
The candidates
who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination and expecting the
percentage of marks as at (B) are also eligible to apply.
D.
English is one of
the subjects, to be tested along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology during
Uni-GAUGE EMeD – 2016. The paper on English language will be normally of second
PUC or 10+2 standard and will test the candidate’s comprehension of the
language, the structure of words, phrases, clauses and sentences.
Other Eligibility Criteria:
A. The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or
before 31st December 2016 i.e. the candidate should be born on or before 31st

Candidates
not Eligible
The
following candidates are not eligible for participating in Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2016
and hence need not apply:
A. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination
i.e. second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent prior to 2014 are not eligible for
Medical /Dental UG course.
B. Candidates already pursuing Medical UG course anywhere
in India.
C. Candidates who were caught attempting to impersonate
or found following / adopting any of the malpractices earlier including
entertaining touts or agents. The

complete information on eligibility for admission.
Candidates are required to provide a
declaration about their eligibility while filling up the Uni-GAUGE Exam
application form online.

Getting
Your Score:

You can download your score card using your
login ID and password.
● The scorecard will be available to all candidates who have
attended the exam.
● We will not be sending scorecards through post or by email to
any candidate. You will have to download the same from our website and take a
print of the same so that you can send the same to the participating
universities of your choice.
Understanding Your Score:
● Your score card will contain the raw scores and percentile
for each section.
● Raw scores will be the actual marks that you scored for that
particular section.
● Percentile refers to percentage of candidates who receive
score less than or equal to score obtained by you.
Sending Your Score to Universities:
● You have to apply separately to the participating university
that you are interested in along with the downloaded Uni-GAUGE test scorecard
and the prescribed documents mentioned in the participating university website.

Check your eligibility criteria in the
website of the participating university for the course that you are interested
in. This information is available the respective university websites.
● You have to apply separately to the participating university
that you are interested in along with the downloaded Uni-GAUGE test scorecard
and the prescribed documents mentioned in the participating university website.
● University will verify the test score card submitted by you
with ERA Foundation.
● University will prepare a merit list of the applicants who
have submitted applications to them and conduct admission process.
